Think of Going to BRCC? Get all of the info
There are four main tracks at BRCC that you may want to consider
Workforce Training
This is a shorter-term training option (8 weeks – 1 year) that will get you started in a career. These are usually careers that are “In Demand” in our area. Programs include:
Career Studies Certificates & Diplomas
There are certificate programs designed to “kick start” your education &/or career. Most take one or two semesters. Some are listed below. See the website or Mrs. Wood for a full listing.
Associate Degree Programs
Associate Degree in Applied Science are programs that generally require 2-3 years to complete. These programs are designed to place you into a career after completion. Several are also transferrable for Bachelors Degrees.
College Transfer Program
You can start at BRCC by getting some classes completed or by obtaining an Associate Degree and transfer to any four year college. There are Guaranteed Transfer Agreements (automatic acceptance) in place for over 30 Virginia colleges. This option can save you $16,000-$60,000 over your college career. Students considering this option should be thinking about transfer options (colleges) and college majors BEFORE starting at BRCC or another community college in order to make the process most cost effective and efficient.
See Mrs. Wood in the Counseling Office to find out about options at BRCC and the other schools in the Virginia Community College System.
